eGO Bike: Reinventing Wheels

Why eGO

James C and Igor

The following is a story sent to us by a happy eGO customer.

"Igor (my eGO) has a gentle personality and almost seems to be smiling."

- James C., Long Beach, CA

My wife Ginger and I live on the beach in Long Beach California. I am retired from a long career in aerospace/manufacturing, all in research and development, machining, tooling and management. I am presently working part time as a counselor. Ginger and I live in one of the rapidly disappearing pieces of America, the mobile home on the beach.

I bought my eGO from Electric Cyclery in Laguna Beach. Shortly after bringing it home I named the little bike Igor. Igor and I have become companions and are becoming well known beach criters. I use Igor for local running around and short errands. Igor demanded and was rewarded with a speedometer. This allows me to keep track of my distance and speed.

Igor has a gentle personality and almost seems to be smiling. I live in a town that seems to be at war with the pocket bikes and the gas powered scooters. So far Igor has made friends wherever he goes.

California has the highest gas prices in the nation, rapidly disappearing coastal wilderness and because of the density a general pollution problem. My buddy Igor is part of the solution and not part of the problem.
